Ahn Somyi, a singer formerly of the girl group DIA, has issued a firm rebuttal to malicious rumors circulating online, including claims that she worked as a “madam at Tenpro” and provided financial sponsorship to an idol. Her agency, Modenverry Korea, released an official statement on May 7 declaring that the allegations are completely false and that they will take legal action.

“These claims constitute clear defamation and infringement of personal rights. They not only damage Ahn Somyi’s reputation but also harm the reputations of unrelated third parties,” the agency stated, adding that they plan to file a complaint through their legal representatives.

According to screenshots provided by the agency, an anonymous user on the online community DC Inside claimed that Ahn Somyi was involved in a luxury adult entertainment venue known as “Tenpro” and had financially supported TWS member Dohoon. The agency refuted this strongly, “The claims are fabricated and malicious. Although the original post has been deleted, we have received multiple pieces of evidence from netizens.”

They further clarified that Ahn Somyi has “never worked at Tenpro” and has “no personal acquaintance whatsoever with Dohoon.” The agency emphasized that there will be “no leniency” and that they “will hold those responsible fully accountable.”
